“Has a Paleo, LCHF, or Ketogenic diet made you feel mentally better, cleared the “brain fog”, or improved your mood?
“Research studying the link between mental health and diet] is a very new field,” said Michael Berk, a professor of psychiatry at the Deakin University School of Medicine in Australia. “But the results are unusually consistent, and they show a link between diet quality and mental health.”

After years of considering the LCHF diet a load of garbage, I decided to give it a go and commenced almost a month ago. I have to say that I have finally found all that energy I use to have. I’m eating one meal a day because I just don’t feel hungry anymore (compared to having to eat at least 5 times a day). I’m not doing it to lose weight. I’ve been plagued by chronic muscle and ligament/tendon injuries for a few years now and really had nothing else to lose. It hasn’t been long enough to say whether it’s helping in that respect but if I continue to feel this good then I’ll stay a convert to thee LCHF way of life.
So, I’m sorry for bagging you out on previous occasions! I work at the LGH and there are actually a few of us on the ward I work on that are following your lead. I can see how it must be frustrating for you as we are constantly questioned by co-workers who (like I did) criticise the lifestyle and think we’re crazy. But we’ll slowly try and convert them! And family!
Thanks for helping me get back on track.
Hi Vanessa
All I keep saying is give it a try if you’ve tried everything else. Thanks for being honest with yourself and with me. Welcome on board. Please say hi if I am on the ward. Keep at it.
